If you are banned from your Halo 3 Online Account please do not email the Webmaster or the Assistant Webmaster to be unbanned. You probably no why you got banned and you must understand that you a fully responible for the actions you make on your account and the Halo 3 site. This message is also posted under the Visitors Notice heading on our homepage. You will be unbanned after the date it specifys at account login. If you are permanatly banned you are allowed to submit a Ban Appeal up to 3 times. If you would like to submit a Ban Appeal please type ban appeal as your subject on our feedback page. If one of your Ban Appeal is successful you will be unbanned the next day. You may contact the Halo 3 Team if you would like to know the status of your ban.

If you are having trouble logging in to your account it may be because of some of these reasons. Each reason will give you a different error notice and if most often self explanitory why you can't log in. If you know why can't login and need help fixing it feel free to contact me at drekryan@metrocast.net unless you are banned. If you are permanatly banned you can submit a ban appeal up to three times other than that is has to for one of the following reasons. We will give you a few reasons on why you might not be able to login. Please note that it might not be any of these reasons also but you can contact us any time 24/7 on help to login into your account.

What you can try:

1. Check the email address that you gave us when you registered for your account. Most times you will receive a email saying that you membership has expired, or that you account was cancelled (Don't Panic we can restore it just contact me!) or maybe because your username or password was changed for some reason.
2. Be sure to read the error notice that it gives you at login and take that into account before you contact the Halo 3 Team. For example if it says you Membership has Expired you know why you can't login and all you have to do in this case is renew your membership and you can do this by contacting the Webmaster or Assistant Webmaster. 
3. Contact the Halo 3 Team and please contact the Halo3 Team only once per problem because we recieve way to emails to read 300 of your emails and 200 of someone elses. Do not worry we will get to your message and when we do we will reply as soon as possible and help solve the problem.
4. Try logging into your account multiple times to see if if could havebeen because a minor problem with a username or password.
5. Wait until you get a resonse from the Halo 3 Team on your problem most times we will be able to help you.

 There are two types of bans. If you are banned from all Xbox live games you need to contact Xbox live at 800-4my-xbox (1-800-469-9269) or https://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/contact/. If you are banned from Halo 3 matchmaking only please continue reading.

Bans from matchmaking cannot be appealed. Currently, bans are being handed out for a few things. Some of you know exactly why you should be banned, and others possibly, were just having networking problems. In either case, though, the effect is the same - you were routinely hurting other players' experience. Most bans are temporary (7-14 days), and these bans only stop those affected from playing Halo 3 matchmaking (custom games, campaign, etc. can all still be played).

What the system is telling you, is that relative to the other players currently playing Halo 3, you are a level XX. You should not be going up in skill level until you become appreciably and significantly better.

It’s important to note that it is an increasingly accurate estimate, designed to become more accurate over the long term. So don’t worry about dips in your performance, or unexpected sprees, those dips and spikes are not given much precedence by the system.

In theory, it is trying to put you in the most competitive matches. It is not some goal or trophy – it’s a tool.

Disconnects get penalized (whether accidental or intentional) because you just made it much harder on the other players, ruining their halo 3 experience. Each individual is responsible for their own connection and hardware.

It has been stated many times that if you ask for recon armor you will never get it. Do not email, do not post threads asking Bungie for recon, as they will be deleted or locked.

If you encounter individuals who are persistently abusive (especially if they go so far as to send you messages), it is very unlikely that you are their only victim.
